Craft Beer, Wood-Fired Pizza, East Nashville Soul

730 fans can't be wrong: the best pizza in Nashville lives at 903 Main Street.

About Us

You can smell the marinara before you even open the car door. That's the first thing regulars mention, and it sets the tone for everything that follows at Smith & Lentz Brewing and Pizza on 903 Main Street.

The pizza here earns real devotion. The Supreme 'Taken to Prom' has converted lifelong supreme-skeptics, and the spicy margherita keeps people coming back week after week. The dough is made to stay crispy, the crust has genuine chew, and the garlic bread alone is worth the trip. Pair any of it with a house-brewed pilsner or kolsch and you've got an afternoon that's hard to walk away from.

Out back, a patio opens up when Nashville weather cooperates, and games are on hand if you feel like lingering. This is a brewpub that takes both halves of that word seriously: the beer is brewed with real craft and the food is never an afterthought. East Nashville has no shortage of spots to eat and drink, but Smith & Lentz earns its 4.5-star reputation one pie at a time.

What We Offer

The craft beer program anchors the experience. House-brewed pilsners and kolsch are the crowd favorites, light enough to drink through a whole pizza but built with enough character to sip on their own. Rotating taps keep things interesting for regulars who come in every week.

On the food side, the wood-fired pizza menu runs from classics to originals you won't find anywhere else in Nashville. Every pie starts with that house-made dough and a marinara that announces itself from the parking lot. The garlic bread has developed its own following, and it's the kind of side that turns into a second order before the night is done.

Takeaway is available for nights when the couch wins, and the back patio makes the brewpub a natural destination when the weather is right. Whether you're grabbing a quick slice after work or settling in for a long evening with a flight of beers and a whole pie, Smith & Lentz is built for both.

"This is, by far, the best pizza in Nashville!!! The Supreme “taken to prom” took us by surprise! Normally, we don’t order supreme, but this one was absolutely perfect. The crust stayed crispy and delicious. Every bite was flavorful! $4 is a bit pricey to pay for extra seasonings and parm though. AKA taking it to prom. Don’t waste your money paying $2 extra for cold tomato dipping sauce though."

"Pizza is fantastic. So is the garlic bread. The dough they use is amazing. You can smell the marinara from outside when you get out of your car! Beer will make you want to hang out all day though! They also make phenomenal ice cream!"

"We got the margarita pizza and it was so good. We asked for a side of garlic butter for the crust and that was a solid upgrade! We will definitely be back next time we are in town. The Sourdough and Brown Butter Caramel ice cream was elite. An absolute must order!"
